"Snow day" cannot even come CLOSE to what this should be called!

Now imagine this being -10 degrees and the snow blowing all over at 34 to 44 miles per hour. That's Fargo for you today. I woke up at 6am to be at work by 7am. After a solid 15 minutes trying to get my car to warm up and unthaw the frozen moisture on the inside of my windows, I thought it best to avoid the interstate and took University all the way down to 13th Ave. A 10 minute drive took 20. Snow constantly landing and immediately melting on my windshield that I couldn't wipe away due to the massive amounts of ice on the blades that only made my visibility worse (it was already only 0.1 miles). I almost hit a car that thought it would be cool to brake right in front of me (with no one in front of him.... old timer). I finally get to work 20 minutes late where I nearly get stuck just trying to park. After about 10 minutes of hardcore cleaning (needless to say no one was coming to get coffee today) we get a call that we can close the store. WOOPEE!!! After closing the store, my 2 coworkers try to unbury their cars from the giant drifts engulfing them while I proceed to dig my car out TWICE while trying to leave the parking lot. I finally made it out & weaved and changed lanes to whichever looked like it had the least amount of snow. I ran 2 red lights after nearly getting stuck after stopping at one and let's just say driving 20 in a 30 felt too fast. GROSS. So just when I think my adventure is over, I get stuck again. In NDSU's parking lot. I shoveled myself out and parked in the next closest spot. Illegally. I dare them to try to give me a ticket.

Point of the story: Do not, whatever you do, leave your house today. And look forward to highs still below zero this week, kids!
